JNR Youth is for Year 5 & 6 students in Perth, we run a Friday afternoon program every week of the School term. Each Friday afternoon we have young people gather together to connect, have fun and grow in their relationship with God. We exist so that upper primary school students have the opportunity to come into a welcoming environment where they can encounter God, discover their purpose in Him and form lasting friendships with other children their age. We believe in building up the next generation, and prioritise giving young people opportunities to grow their gifts and build friendships in a safe and nurturing environment.

A regular Friday afternoon runs from 4-5:30pm (at C3 Hepburn Heights) and includes a hang-out time, fun, games and an encouraging bible-oriented message.

Here are a few things we get up to on Friday afternoons:

Hang Out: We believe having great relationships in life are vital for each of us as individuals, so because of this we love creating an atmosphere where new friendships can be formed in a relaxed and fun environment. Come hang with us for the first half hour of the night!

Services: Our primary purpose at JNR Youth is to encourage young people in their own personal relationship with God. In our services we aim to provide a place where young people can learn about Him and how He can positively impact their lives. We hold services most weeks which includes games and a message from one of our leaders.

Connect Groups: After our services we usually gather together in smaller age and gender specific groups lead by our leaders, where we have a chance to discuss things relevant to our lives today. Connect Groups are a time to hang, chat and make great friendships.

All of our leaders hold current Working with Children Checks and are dedicated to helping and supporting the next generation.

Q. When does JNR Youth run?
A. Every Friday afternoon of the school term (unless advised otherwise) beginning at 4pm and finishing at 5:30pm.

Q. How do I know my young person is safe at C3 Youth?
A. JNR Youth is a drug and alcohol free program, and the volunteers actively enforce this. Each leader at JNR Youth is dedicated to the safety of everyone that attends our programs.

Q. What about the volunteers?
A. JNR Youth has a team of volunteers who all have Working with Children checks. They range in age from 16-27 and all receive regular training on how to be most effective supporting young people. All of the volunteers are members of C3 Church Hepburn Heights.

Q. How much is the night, and are food and drinks available?
A. Normal JNR Youth Nights are free. Big Events have varying costs (usually $5) that you will be notified of well in advance. Snacks and water are available during the hang out time at the beginning of the afternoon program or in connect group time at the end.

Q. What happens if my child is disruptive, causes damage to property, or harms another young person at JNR Youth.
A. We welcome everyone within the age range of grades 5 and 6 to JNR Youth and we make every effort to create an environment where people from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances feel welcome. However, if someone continuously makes it difficult for others to enjoy the night, their parents will be called to come and collect them prior to the end of the night. If damage to property occurs, it may warrant financial liability on behalf of the young person who was responsible. If another person is harmed, parents will be notified and steps will be taken to resolve the situation through mediation.

Q. Where is JNR Youth located?
A. JNR Youth is based at C3 Church Hepburn Heights, 31 Chadlington Drive, Padbury. We are located 20 minutes north of Perth CBD via the Mitchell Freeway and 5 minutes east of Hillarys Boat Harbour.
