Prayer Wednesdays 7pmWe exist for High School aged young people in Perth, Western Australia, and run Friday night events in the Northern Suburbs during the school term. We are passionate about young people finding their purpose in life, which we believe is centred on developing a close relationship with God. For this reason, we are committed to providing a safe and fun community orientated environment that is drug and alcohol free for all young people to come along to, make purposeful and lasting friendships with others that will challenge and inspire them to be a positive difference to those around them.
There’s no such thing as a typical Friday night at C3 Youth; however our program usually runs from 6pm until 8.30pm for all young people in grades 7 to 12.
TERM 4 PLANNER – 2024
Here are a few things we get up to on Friday nights:
Hang Out: We believe having great relationships in life are vital for each of us as individuals, so because of this we love creating an atmosphere where new friendships can be formed in a relaxed and fun environment. Come hang with us for the first half hour of the night!
C3 Youth Cafe: During the first half hour of our night we also run a cafe, where you can buy food, drinks and snacks to keep your taste buds satisfied. Each week there is usually something different on the menu.
Junior & Senior High Services: Our primary purpose at C3 Youth is to encourage you in your own personal relationship with God. In our services we aim to provide a place where you can learn about Him and how He can positively impact your life. We hold seperate Junior (grades 7-9) & Senior (grades 10-12) high services most weeks which includes a set from our youth band and a message from one of our leaders.
Connect Groups: After our services we usually gather together in smaller age and gender specific groups lead by our youth leaders, where we have a chance to discuss things relevant to our lives today. Connect Groups are a time to hang, chat and make great friendships.
All of our leaders hold current Working with Children Checks and are dedicated to helping and supporting the next generation.
Who are Matt & Susie Pritchard?
Passion and faith are the trademarks of Matt & Susie; a young married couple with a dedication to helping young people discover Jesus and live with purpose. Matt & Susie are the Youth Pastors at C3 Church Hepburn Heights, and along with the incredible team run an array of events and programs for students in grades 7-12. Matt & Susie believe that High School students are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the leaders of today!
Matt, a self-confessed football fanatic and lover of the beach, has been a youth leader here since 2011 where he has served as a Connect Group Leader, Major Events Team Leader, JNR High Overseer and High Schools Volunteer. Matt is also one of many graduates of C3 College, gaining a Cert IV in Christian Ministry & Theology. In 2017 he completed his Bachelor Degree of Commerce in Management & Marketing from Curtin University, and is now a Marketing Coordinator outside of youth ministry.
Susie, also a lover of the outdoors, has been a youth leader here since 2014 where she has served as a Connect Group Leader, played keys on the Worship Band, and has been a Team Leader. Susie graduated from C3 College in 2016, and in 2017 spent the year in Bali as part of the core team launching C3 Church The Bukit. Outside of youth ministry, Susie is a Business Support Coordinator at a Human Resource Consultancy.
Matt & Susie love getting coffee along the coast, spending time with friends and family and going on adventures.
Who are our Connect Group leaders?
Our Connect Group leaders are the hands and feet of C3 Youth – the volunteers who serve and sacrifice a massive chunk of their time to help and support the young people of this community. These leaders run small groups here at C3 Youth and meet in a variety of locations to facilitate small group discussion whilst most likely eating a copious amount of chocolate. They are a vital part of helping young people along their path of learning more about God, and help them form strong friendships with others their age and gender.
Q. When does C3 Youth run?
A. Every Friday night (unless advised otherwise) beginning at 6pm and finishing at 8:30pm.
Q. How do I know my young person is safe at C3 Youth?
A. C3 Youth is a drug and alcohol free program, and the volunteers actively enforce this. Each leader at C3 Youth is dedicated to the safety of everyone that attends our programs.
Q. What about the volunteers?
A. C3 Youth has a team of over 30 volunteers who all have Working with Children checks. They range in age from 18-27 and all receive regular training on how to be most effective supporting young people. All of the volunteers are members of C3 Church Hepburn Heights.
Q. How much is the night, and are food and drinks available?
A. Normal C3 Youth Nights are $3. Major Events/Summer Camp/Conference have varying costs (usually between $5-$10) that you will be notified of well in advance. Food and Drinks are available for purchase at the café, which is open between 6-6.30pm on the night.
Q. What happens if my child is disruptive, causes damage to property, or harms another young person at C3 Youth.
A. We welcome everyone within the age range of grades 7 to 12 to C3 Youth and we make every effort to create an environment where people from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances feel welcome. However, if someone continuously makes it difficult for others to enjoy the night, their parents will be called to come and collect them prior to the end of the night. If damage to property occurs, it may warrant financial liability on behalf of the young person who was responsible. If another person is harmed, parents will be notified and steps will be taken to resolve the situation through mediation.
Q. Where is C3 Youth located?
A. C3 Youth is based at C3 Church Hepburn Heights, 31 Chadlington Drive, Padbury. We are located 20 minutes north of Perth CBD via the Mitchell Freeway and 5 minutes east of Hillarys Boat Harbour.
